Gaumont Animation, formerly Alphanim, is a French independent animation production and distribution company, founded in 1997, with a catalogue ranging from pre-school through teens and family properties. In its 10 years of existence Alphanim has produced almost 700 half hours of animation series and a theatrical feature : Franklin and the Turtle Lake Treasure coproduced with Nelvana, StudioCanal and Europool and released in 2006 in cinemas worldwide.

Alphanim recently made partnership with Gaumount to produce two feature films by Dominique Monféry. In 2009, the company was renamed Gaumount-Alphanim.[1][2]
