Amata (天田郡; -gun) was a district located in Kyoto, Japan.
As of 2003, the district had an estimated population of 8,965 and a density of 46.81 persons per km². The total area was 191.52 km².

- On January 1, 2006, the towns of Miwa and Yakuno merged into the city of Fukuchiyama. Amata District was dissolved as a result of this merger.
