[edit] Geography
Amblie is located 5 km from the landing beaches of D-Day. It is half way between Bayeux (18 km) and Caen (18 km), and it is 15 min outside of Ouistreham. It is located in the middle of two valleys, Thue and Seulles, and near to Plain of Caen.
Due to its floodplains (meadows and marshes) and its light slopes, it has a rich agricultural production.
