"American Psycho" is the first single from Treble Charger's fourth album, Wide Awake Bored. The song was a hit in Canada, peaking at #4 on Canada's Rock chart. The song was also nominated for "Best Single" at the 2001 Juno Awards, losing to Nelly Furtado's "I'm Like a Bird". It is arguably considered to be the band's signature song.

- The song was featured in the film, Dude, Where's My Car?. It was also used in promotional advertisements for the direct-to-video movie American Pie: Band Camp.
