The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) is a not-for-profit professional society for home inspectors throughout North America. Founded in 1976, ASHI is generally recognized as the leading professional organization in the home inspection profession. All members are required to adhere to the ASHI Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
ASHI members receive the ASHI Reporter, which includes technical articles, marketing ideas and news of the Society. The ASHI Reporter is also available through their web site. The ASHI Reporter was named the best "Professional Society Magazine" by Association Trends in 2005.[citation needed]
