Amorebieta-Etxano

Amorebieta-Etxano or Zornotza (Spanish, Amorebieta-Echano) are two different names for the same town and municipality located in Biscay in the Basque Country, an Autonomous Community in northern Spain. Athletic Bilbao defender Xabier Etxeita was born in Zornotza, as is Beñat Intxausti, a professional cyclist.
Its population is about 19,000. The mayor is David Latxaga Ugartemendia, from PNV politicy. Amorebieta has some interesting sites to visit, such as a very extended green-ground and field. It celebrates the International Cross and the "Spring" cyciling classic race.
