Amy Cole was born in Bombay and as a baby she was adopted and came to live in the South West in 1984. She spent her childhood years growing up in rural North Devon.
Amy first started her media career as a news reader on North Devon's Lantern FM radio station, where she helped to launch a weekend local news service. Amy has also worked at ITV Westcountry and at BBC Radio Devon.
One of Amy's highlights was receiving the Silver 2005 Ruby Television Award for 'Best News Film'
