Andes Líneas Aéreas began operations on 20 June 2006 with services between Salta and Buenos Aires. On December 4, 2006, the airline added scheduled service to Puerto Madryn. The airline is preparing to add service to Tucuman and other cities.
Two previously owned 90-seat Bombardier CRJ900 are going to replace 2 MD-8S planes. With the new CRJ900 aircraft, Andes Líneas Aéreas plans to increase its services to include daily flights to Salta, Jujuy, Cordoba, Puerto Madryn and thrice-weekly flights to Puerto Iguazu and Santa Cruz de la Sierra in Bolivia.
