The André Cavens Award is an accolade presented annually by the Belgian Film Critics Association (French: Union de la Critique de Cinéma, UCC), an organization of film critics from publications based in Brussels, Belgium. The André Cavens Award was introduced in 1976 by the organizing committee to honor the best Belgian film of the year.[1] The name of the award comes from the Belgian film director André Cavens (1912–1971).
