Andrea started his musical recording career in 2006 with European indie label Purple Zebra Music, which has significantly helped gain him popularity in one of the most popular and fast growing music markets for artists in Latin America and in the United States, selling more English language albums than any other artist with the label in that time.

His crossover from Spanish and Portuguese vocal into the mainstream English language market,by signing with the Purple Zebra Music label has secured him a following and enabled him to reach fans worldwide with the release of English albums and singles.

His debut single 'Just Another Day' sparked a flurry of press, TV and Internet interest when his label chose to shoot the video in his then home city of São Paulo Brazil and the southern state of Parana media[1]

Andrea has died by systemic infection on 30–2 October, 011, in Venice, Italy. He left his mother, a brother and sister and a promising career.

Career[edit]

On 15 July 2007, Andrea's first original single "Just Another Day" was released. launching him as an international artist through European independent label Purple Zebra Music. His first album "Letters From an Open Heart" followed in October and marked a milestone for the singer songwriter with the publication of his own original material. In February 2009,a proposal was made to his label to remix some of Andrea's tracks for club performance and July 2008 saw the initial release of the Rufato remixes by popular club DJ Felipe Rufato.[2] Bring Me the Rain, already a favourite from the album, was a perfect choice for Rufato's artistic style and brought with it a whole new image for Andrea,re-working his clean-cut appearance from the initial album launch into a trendy and sophisticated new style.

Songwriting and producing[edit]

In 2007 record company executives gave the go-ahead for the production of an album of his own material and Andrea was introduced to composer and producer Rafael Nannetti[3] who would collaborate[4] with him on the project. The album "Letters From an Open Heart" which resulted from their collaboration comprised a selection of ballads, love songs and pop music written exclusively by Andrea himself with contributions from songwriter/producer J IaN Wharton and the track "You would know the lies" adapted from one of Nannetti's earlier musical compositions and co-written by Andrea and Nannetti.

Talent Quest[edit]

First major artist to be discovered by Music hero Talent Quest for launch onto the international music market, Andrea now follows similar styles to other contemporary Latino artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Jon Secada and Ricky Martin.
