Andrew S. Brown is a British IT professional who was responsible for introducing a number of notable changes for younger members of the British Computer Society[clarification needed].[1] In 2003 he was elected the 14th Chairman[1] of the British Computer Society Young Professionals Group, a group which provides representation and support to younger members of the IT profession.[2] Today the group is one of the largest (and arguably one of the most influential young professionals groups in the UK), with over 20,000 members.[3]
Brown has been a member of the British Computer Society's Advisory Council since 2003 and served as an elected trustee of the BCS from 2006 until 2008.[citation needed]
