Andy Richardson is a sports presenter/correspondent for Al Jazeera English, a 24-hour, English-speaking news channel.[1]
Richardson has a wide range of experience as a sports reporter and presenter from his career with Independent Television News (ITN), Sky News, ITV and Five News.
He has reported for Al Jazeera English across the globe, recently covering the 2008 Olympics from Beijing. He regularly presents Al Jazeera's Sportsworld programme, including going behind the scenes to report on the world's northernmost marathon at the North Pole.
As Five News's sports correspondent, Richardson covered many of the major events in world sport including the 2002 Football World Cup in Japan, the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia and 2004 European Football Championships in Portugal.
With ITN in London, Richardson was a sport producer and reporter for ITV News, filing and producing stories on domestic and international sporting events. He covered the 1999 Rugby World Cup and the 2000 European Football Championships with the network.
