Angostura is a city and its surrounding municipality in the Mexican state of Sinaloa.
The city of Angostura was the chief seat of commerce, on the great river Orinoco, with a population of 10000 inhabitants by 1825. The municipality reported 43,827 inhabitants in the 2000 census.
