Animals on television

There are many appearances and depictions of animals on television, ranging from the use of working animals as actors to anthropomorphism. Real animals are seen on television and in film for numerous reasons and in varying capacities. In many situations animals cannot be used, with human actors in animal costumes, puppets or more recently computer graphics being the alternatives.
