Anthony Arnove
Anthony Arnove (born 1969) is a freelance literary editor, agent and activist based in Brooklyn. He is on the board of directors of Haymarket Books, and is active in the National Writers Union and the International Socialist Organization.[1]

Arnove was born in 1969. He earned BA from Oberlin College, and a MA and Ph.D. from Brown University, Rhode Island, where he studied in the Modern Culture and Media Program, and joined the International Socialist Organization. He worked for seven years as an editor and publisher at South End Press before becoming a freelance editor and writer moving to New York.

Arnove is best known for his books on Iraq and the Iraq War. Arnove is the author of the book Iraq: The Logic of Withdrawal, published in hardcover by the New Press and in paperback by Haymarket Books. Arnove toured the country promoting the book in spring 2006 as part of the New Press' "End the War Tour".[2]
Arnove is also the editor of Iraq Under Siege, published by South End Press, the co-editor with Howard Zinn of Voices of a People's History of the United States, published by Seven Stories Press,[1] and the editor of The Essential Noam Chomsky, published by the New Press.[3] He writes frequently for left-wing publications; he is a featured author at ZNet, a columnist for Socialist Worker, and on the editorial board of the International Socialist Review. He has also written for The Nation, In These Times,[1] Le Nouvel Observateur, L’Humanité, and The Financial Times.[4]
In 2009, Arnove Co-Directed (with Howard Zinn and Chris Moore) and Executive Produced "The People Speak (film) a documentary feature film that uses dramatic and musical performances of the letters, diaries, and speeches of everyday Americans, based on Historian Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States”.[5]
