Antony van den Wyngaerde

Anthony van den Wyngaerde was a 16th century Fleming who produced several topographical drawings, but about whom little is known.

He may have come to England with Philip II of Spain, and between 1543 and 1550 produced the "Panorama of London", one of the earliest representations of London that has survived.

The original of the Panorama of London is in the Sutherland Collection in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, and measures 10 feet by 17 inches, in seven sheets.
