Area code 347 is a New York City area code used as an overlay to 718 and 917. It is used in the boroughs of Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island, as well as the Marble Hill and Inwood sections of Manhattan. 347 is used for both landlines and mobile devices.

The 347 area code became effective October 1, 1999.[1] The addition of 347 brought the number of New York City area codes to five (212, 646, 718, 917, and 347). The approval of the 929 area code in January 2010 has since brought the number of New York City area codes to six.
