The 2006 election for governor of Arizona was held on November 7, 2006. Incumbent Democratic Governor Janet Napolitano, was re-elected without major opposition. The Governor's widespread popularity likely contributed to her easily-won campaign for re-election; her approval rating in October 2006, one month before the election, was at 58%.[1]
