Armed Forces Day is observed in Bangladesh on November 21. This signifies the day in 1971, when the members of Army, Navy, and Air force of the Bangladesh liberation war forces launched a combined offensive against the Pakistani Army.[1] On December 16, 1971, the Pakistan Army surrendered with 93,000 troops to the combined forces, ending the Liberation War of Bangladesh and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 simultaneously.
