Armenian–British relations are foreign relations between Armenia and United Kingdom. The United Kingdom recognised Armenia on 31 December 1991. The first Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Europe was established in London in October 1992. Since 1995, the United Kingdom has an embassy in Yerevan. The two countries maintain collaborative and friendly relations, however the United Kingdom does not recognize the Armenian Genocide, because of close relations with Armenia's rival, Turkey.[citation needed]
