[edit] Biography
Aaron Wu Geng Lin (traditional Chinese: 吳庚霖; simplified Chinese: 吴庚霖; pinyin: Wú Gēnglín) was born on November 20, 1985[1] in Taiwan.
At a young age, his family moved to Connecticut,[2] U.S., where he stayed for his primary school education for about five years. He then moved back to Taiwan for further education.
He can speak and understand Mandarin, Taiwanese Hokkien, English and limited Japanese and Cantonese. He was a sophomore at Chinese Culture University, majoring in Journalism and News Broadcasting. However, because his career had greatly affected his academics and learning environment, he transferred to Jinwen University of Science and Technology, majoring in English. In October 2010, Aaron announced that he had quit schooling to focus on his career instead. Having injured his knee previously, Aaron is also exempted from serving in the national army.

Proceeds from the ticket sale were for charity purposes.
Yan's first solo EP, The Next Me (Chinese: 下一個炎亞綸; literally "The Next Aaron Yan") was released on 25 March 2011 by HIM International Music. It was available for pre-order from 11 March 2011, in it includes six tracks, on which one is a duet with Singaporean singer Olivia Ong, as well as a piano solo piece performed by Yan himself. On 4 March 2011, a 30-seconds preview of the title track, "The Next Me" (Chinese: 下一個我) was released online by HIM International Music.[3] On 15 June 2011, Yan released the Japanese Edition of his solo EP "The Next Me" (Chinese: 下一個我) which includes a Japanese bonus track ["The Next Me" (Chinese: 下一個我) Japanese Version].

[edit] Acting career
Yan was originally signed to star in Rolling Love along with fellow bandmate Jiro Wang, but he took the lead role in another drama, Mysterious Incredible Terminator, when the opportunity arose. Yan starred with his fellow bandmates in KO One, The X-Family, and their cameo appearance in K.O.3an Guo. He also starred in It Started With A Kiss and They Kiss Again as Ah Bu, along with his fellow bandmate Jiro Wang.
After filming Mysterious Incredible Terminator, Yan and his co-star Gui Gui signed a contract to do another drama together called Momo Love based on Japan's best selling manga Momoka Typhoon. Filming for this drama has begun but was cancelled when Yan had another opportunity to star in Love Buffet. He wanted to do both dramas, but the company only wanted him to do one. The company picked Love Buffet.
