The 3 arrondissements of the Drôme department are:

  1. Arrondissement of Die, (subprefecture: Die) with 9 cantons and 104 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 35,207 in 1990, and was 37,733 in 1999, an increase of 7.17%.
  2. Arrondissement of Nyons, (subprefecture: Nyons) with 7 cantons and 101 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 58,495 in 1990, and was 62,025 in 1999, an increase of 6.03%.
  3. Arrondissement of Valence, (prefecture of the Drôme department: Valence) with 20 cantons and 164 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 320,370 in 1990, and was 338,020 in 1999, an increase of 5.51%.
