Artix is a commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in southwestern France. Villages in Bearn are allowed to display street signs in Occitan; as of 2003, Artix was the only town whose population voted to do so. Consequently its signs show its name as "Artics", since the letter X is little used in the Bearnais subdialect.
