As Is is a 1986 film adapted by William M. Hoffman from his play of the same title,[1] that set its focus on the effect AIDS, then a fairly new epidemic, has on a group of friends living in New York City. Directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, the film stars Jonathan Hadary, Robert Carradine, and Colleen Dewhurst. Hadary and Carradine were nominated for CableACE Awards.
