Aseem Ahmed Abbasee born as Aseem Akeel Ahmed Jameel Ahmed Abbasee is an Indian Hindi/Urdu poet, lyricist, creative writer [1]

Early life[edit]

Aseem Ahmed Abbasee was born in a middle class Muslim family to Mr. Akeel Ahmed Abbasee & Mrs. Abeda Begum Kota, Rajasthan, India.[1]

Career[edit]

Abbasee worked for FM RADIO PINK CITY (as a guest artist) and later joined 95 FM TADKA as a copy writer. He also held position of national creative writer at 94.3 FM Jiyo Dil Se.[2] He is best known for lyrics of "Emptiness" which saw over 30 Million hits and downloads.[3] He also penned down the lyrics for the Bollywood movies Table No. 21,[4] Bittoo Boss,[5] Punjabi movieTour Mitran di & Rajasthani films. He also contributed for channel V serials Hum se hai life, Love kiya to darna kya, DD national's short films, travelogue series & worked as a screenplay writer for DD Urdu serials.[1] He has written and performed some of the most popular comic segments for the radio industry. His radio segment "Irfan CD Center" was broadcast in two countries (India & Pakistan) simultaneously.[1]

Books[edit]

Aseem's poetry collection titled Khalain (ख़लाएं, خلایں) was recently launched by Sandeep Nath on 12 January 2014 at Delhi Poetry Festival - Season II. Aseem's work has also been featured in Lamhey (Poetry Anthlogy in Hindi by Poets Corner Group) where he is sharing space with eminent poets like Gulzar, Rahat Indori, Ibrahim Ashk, Sandeep Nath, A M Turaz and many others.
