The Ashland Independent School District is a school district based in Boyd County, Kentucky. The district serves the area within the city limits of Ashland.

The current superintendent of the Ashland Independent School District is Stephen E. Gilmore, who replaced the retiring Phil Eason on July 1, 2008. Gilmore is a former assistant superintendent and, at the time of his appointment, was the mayor of Ashland.
