In Norse mythology and Norse paganism, Asynjur are the goddesses, including both Æsir and Vanir, and sometimes even giantesses who are married to the gods:
- Frigg — chief goddess, wife of Odin
- Freyja (a Vanir hostage) — (Freya) ranked together with Frigg
- Gefjun — a virgin goddess
- Sif — wife of Thor
- Iðunn — (Idun) wife of Bragi
- Nanna — wife of Baldr
- Skaði (a giantess) — wife of Njörðr
- Gerð (a giantess) — wife of Freyr
- Hel (a giantess) — daughter of Loki
