Opened in 1995, the center features exhibits about the birds, plants and marine life found in the adjacent tidal marsh and beach, as well as a display of live fish, crabs and other sea creatures. The center is located on an 8.4 acre barrier beach known as the Smith-Hubbell Wildlife Refuge and Bird Sanctuary.
