The Austin Peay Governors basketball team is the basketball team that represent Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. The school's team currently competes in the Ohio Valley Conference. The team's most recent appearance in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament was in 2008. The Governors are currently coached by Dave Loos.

Rivalries[edit]

The Governors main rival is Murray State University. The two schools are separated by 65 miles and consistently vie for the Ohio Valley Conference championship. ESPN The Magazine featured the Austin Peay–Murray State rivalry in a February 2009 issue.[1]
