Motorways in Hungary (Hungarian: Autópálya) are first-class high-speed highways in the country.

- M0* - ringroad around Budapest
- M1 - towards Northwestern Hungary – Győr, Tatabánya – and Austria
- M15* - connects M1 to Bratislava
- M3 - towards Northeastern Hungary – Miskolc, Debrecen, Nyíregyháza
- M30 - connects M3 to Miskolc
- M35 - connects M3 to Debrecen
- M5 - towards Southeastern Hungary – Kecskemét, Szeged – and Serbia
- M6 - from M0 (Budapest) to Dunaújváros, later towards Pécs via Szekszárd
- M7 - towards Croatia and Lake Balaton
- M70 - connects M7 to Slovenia's motorway network
- M8 - planned, currently connects Dunaújváros and Dunavecse, and another part between Balatonakarattya and Balatonfűzfő
- M9* - planned, currently connects route 6 with route 51 near Szekszárd
- *does not fully comply with formal motorway specifications
[edit] Planned motorways to be completed during the period 2007-2015
Between 2007 and 2009, the following motorways were completed: M7, connecting Croatia and Hungary, and M3, which connects Nyíregyháza and Debrecen to Budapest. With these motorways, Hungary has more than 1100km of motorways. In 2008 September, the eastern part of the M0 ringroad was completed as well.
