Avastetői Primary School and Elementary Art Institution[1] is a school in Miskolc in the north east of Hungary. It is situated on top of the Avas Hill, with its name coming from there as well. The school itself began as two separate primary schools, that were finally merged in 2004.[2] The two schools merged were the Pattantyús Primary and Hungarian-English Bilingual School and the Széchenyi Primary School and Elementary Art Institution. The school has around 1000 students in the primary classes and 600 in the art classes. Before the merging, Pattantyús was the first bilingual primary school in the country, with its first-ever class starting in the year 1999.[3]
