Awjila (also known as Aujilah, Augila, Aoudjila) is a Berber language spoken in Cyrenaica, Libya,[3] in the Awjila oasis. UNESCO considers Awjilah to be seriously endangered as the youngest speakers have reached or passed middle age.[4] It differs from other Berber languages significantly and retains the Proto-Berber consonant *β.
