Bejo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is the daughter of the Argentine filmmaker Miguel Bejo. At age three, she moved to France, escaping from the Argentinean Dirty War.[1] In 2001, she entered America's big screen by performing in A Knight's Tale, and in 2002's 24 Hours in the Life of a Woman.[2] She is set to star in the French psychological thriller Proie.[3]

In The Artist, the 2011 film directed by her husband, Bejo plays Peppy Miller, a 1920s movie actress. This performance has garnered her critical acclaim and several award nominations.
