Backbone (ISSN 1498-086X) is a Canadian business magazine that focuses on new technology. It was launched in 2001.
Backbone magazine is published by Publimedia Communications Inc. and is distributed six times a year.

Since 2008, Backbone publishes the annual Pick 20 award for Canada's leading Web 2.0 pioneers. The criteria are: return on investment, competitive advantage, ongoing value, execution and innovation.
