RBNS Sabha, a former American frigate known as USS Jack Williams, is a frigate now in service in the Royal Bahrain Naval Force. The ownership was tranferred to Bahrain as a gift on the 13th of September 1996. USS Jack Williams was ordered by the US Navy on the 28th February 1977, and laid down on the 25th February 1980. And was officially launched by the US Navy on the 30th August 1980. Sabha is now considered as the lead frigate of the Bahraini Navy.
