Bakary Koné (French pronunciation: [bakaʁi kɔne], born 27 April 1988 in Ouagadougou[1]) is a Burkinabé football defender, he currently plays for Lyon.

Koné played on youth side for CFTPK Abidjan and joined in 2004 to Etoile Filante.[2]
[edit] Senior Career
He began his profi career in 2005 with Etoile Filante and signed in July 2006 with En Avant Guingamp. He played his first game for En Avant Guingamp on 11 May 2007 against Tours FC in the Ligue 2.[3] He joined Lyon the 11th August 2011 and signed a five year deal for €2 million. He scored his first goal with Lyon in the champions league play-offs against Rubin Kazan on August 24 2011. He scored his second goal, again in Champion's League in group stage against Dinamo Zagreb on September 27 of the same year.
