Balambu is a village development committee in Kathmandu District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3162 and had 558 houses in it.[1]

The language of Balambu is Nepal Bhasa's Lalitpur dialect with a few informal changes.
