Bangor is an unincorporated community in Blount County, Alabama. Nearby Bangor Cave housed a speakeasy during Prohibition and continues to be a popular attraction for area spelunkers.

Bangor is located at 33°58'28" North and 86°45'23" West[1]. The community lies east of Interstate 65 and about 30 miles north of Birmingham.

Bangor Cave Casino was once a world renowned speakeasy. It was shut down in 1939 by the "G Men" and its owners and employees were arrested. The gaming equipment and the whiskey were taken and destroyed.
