Barkam (simplified Chinese: 马尔康镇; traditional Chinese: 馬爾康鎮; pinyin: Mǎ'ěrkāng Zhèn) is a town in and the county seat of Barkam County, in the northwest of Sichuan province, People's Republic of China.

Barkam has a four-season, monsoon-influenced climate within the transition between a subtropical highland climate and humid continental climate (Koppen Cwb and Dwb), with mild daytime temperatures year-round. Monthly averages range from −0.6 °C (30.9 °F) in January to 16.1 °C (61.0 °F) in July. Rainfall is estimated at 790 millimetres (31.1 in) annually, with barely any precipitation occurring in the winter. Differences between day and night are large owing to the elevation.
