Barney Owl is half of the current duo of Sheffield Wednesday F.C. mascots, the other being Ozzie The Owl. He arrived at Hillsborough Stadium in 2004 and has remained there ever since. Ozzie retired in 2004, so Barney became the official mascot afterwards, he has become a massive hit with fans, especially the younger ones, who love him because of his crazy nature and loveable appearance. There is also a fan club called 'The Barney Army Fan Club' at Hillsborough, exclusive to SWFC fans between the ages of 3 and 12.
Ozzie returned during the 2008/09 season, to join Barney at Hillsborough on matchday.
