Barry Chase

Barry Chase (born June 13, 1956 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan) is an Alberta politician.

He ran for the Alberta Alliance Party in the 2004 provincial election in Calgary Shaw. He ended up finishing third. He is currently president of the Calgary Shaw riding association for the Alberta Alliance.

Prior to running for the Alliance, he was an original member of the Reform Party of Canada. He worked with Stephen Harper on his first campaign back in 1988, in the Calgary West federal riding.

Prior to joining Reform, he was a member of the Western Canada Concept but decided not to run for the party.

He has a political rivalry with Alberta Liberal Party Calgary Varsity MLA, Harry B. Chase.

His son Travis Chase also ran for the Alberta Alliance in the 2004 election in Calgary Fort.
