Bartholomäus Ringwaldt

Bartholomäus Ringwaldt (28 November 1532, Frankfurt (Oder) - c.1599, Langenfeld near Zielenzig; today Długoszyn near Sulęcin, Poland) was a German didactic poet and Lutheran theologian.

Ringwaldt was a prolific hymnist, and may have composed tunes too.[1] His publications in this genre include:
