"Battle for the Sun" is a song from the album Battle for the Sun by the alternative rock band Placebo. It featured an electric violin in the background, and Molko repeating several words in the lyrics multiple times. On May 4, 2009, Placebo's official YouTube channel released a 'promotional videoclip' of the band playing in a studio.[1]

The title track debuted on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show on March 17, 2009. After the world premiere, it became available for free download on the band's official site.
