Bay St. Lawrence is a fishing community in northern Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia in Victoria County. The federal Electoral Riding is Sydney—Victoria. Some think the bay could have been the place where Leif Ericson found his colony, around the year 1000 AC, which is called Hop or Leifsbudir, this has to be verified by some archeological researches.
