Bazargan (Persian: بازرگان; also Romanized as Bāzargān and Bāzergān)[1] is a city in and the capital of Bazargan District, in Maku County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. It is the most important Iranian ground border for importing and exporting.[citation needed] At the 2006 census, its population was 9,047, in 2,126 families.[2]
