Beatitude is the debut album released by Ric Ocasek, lead singer and principal songwriter of The Cars. It was released by Geffen Records in 1982, and featured an appearance by Greg Hawkes on keyboards.

[edit] Title
The title is a play on the term "beat", but also an homage to the 1950s poetry magazine Beatitude, which featured work by, amongst others Allen Ginsberg. The Geffen CD issue of the release has the title mis-printed as "Beautitude".
