[edit] History
Beaver Dam Middle School was opened in the 1999-2000 school year. It previously went under the name Littlefield Middle School and housed grades 6 through 8 at the original campus in Littlefield. Prior to the 91-92 school year, grades 6, 7 and 8 attended school in Mesquite at Virgin Valley Jr./Sr. High School.
Just before the start of the 1995-1996 school year, the Board of Education moved the 6th grade from middle school and classified it as elementary.
In 1999, the middle school moved with the elementary to the brand new state-of-the-art $4 million Beaver Dam School campus located on Rio Virgin Road in Beaver Dam. The following school year, 2000–2001, the middle school (7th and 8th grades) were moved back to old school site in Littlefield due to enrollment increase at the elementary level. That school year, middle school was bussed to and from the elementary campus for lunch.
The following school year (01/02), the middle school was back to the elementary school campus. Plans were underway to bring some old modular buildings from the Littlefield School site over to the Beaver Dam School site to hold classes. During the summer of 2004, two modular buildings were brought over for the new middle school campus in the southeast corner of Beaver Dam School. During the summer of 2006, another modular was brought over from the Littlefield campus and opened as yet another building for middle school. The following school year, 2006–2007, the Board of Education moved 6th grade back to middle school. The summer of 2007 saw another change, as the 4th and final modular building from the old Littlefield campus was brought over and used as part of the middle school.
Since then, there has been a locker area built and landscaping has brightened up the Middle School campus.
