Benjamin Eric "Ben" Harper is a Florida-native guitarist, best known as the founder of punk rock band Yellowcard and co-founded, along with Yellowcard's original bassist, Warren Cooke, the record label Takeover Records. In 2005, after eight years with Yellowcard, he left the band under mysterious circumstances and has since gone on to play with Amber Pacific and joined the recording of their second studio album, Truth in Sincerity. Recording started 16 October 2006, but Harper left the band before the end of the year. Afterwards, he became involved with Hey Mike!, one of the bands from Takeover Records. He uses Gibson guitars.
