Bihpur, located on National Highway 31, is a taluk headquarters in Bhagalpur District of Bihar. It lies on the banks of the Ganges and is 17 km north of Bhagalpur.
Vikramshila Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary, Mandar Hill, Bhagalpur Pillar and Patharghat Hill are some of the tourist options in the region.
Patna Airport is the nearest airport; Thana Bihpur Junction Railway Station is on the Khagaria- Katihar rail route.
