Bikepooling is the practice of riding your bike in the company of at least one other cyclist. It is similar to carpooling, but usually each cyclist has their own bike. This can also be known as a 'commuter convoy'.

The primary advantage of bikepooling is that it eliminates the need for motorized transport. But specifc to bicycles, bikepooling:

  • allows less-experenced riders to learn from more-experienced riders
  • provides social interaction
  • provides increased visibility on the road
  • provides improved respect from other road users
  • allows for cooperative adventuring.
